Awesome tool for O365 Customers.

But it is very slow in displaying O365 roles. Is it by design?

Hi,
in Multi Domain Forests it is not possible to set the option "Set-ADServerSettings -ViewEntireForest $true" within RBAC Manager. So it is useless until the Exchange - Server ist not installed in the same Domain as the Security Groups for Exchange reside.

Another issue with 1.5.5.1. When tyring to view Role Groups in a multi domain forest where exchange is in a resource domain, another invalid operation occurs:

"The requested search root 'RootDomain/Microsoft Exchange Security Groups' is not within the scope of this operation. Cannot perform searches outside the scope 'ExchangeDomain'.

Where RootDomain is the forest root and ExchangeDomain is the domain where Exchange is installed.

Thank you for your feedback. I have just upload a new release that fixes the issues you listed. And I have just figured out a couple of more. These are all the side effects of removing dependency of Exchange Management Tool but forgetting some codes that still depends on it.

RBAC Manager puts all efforts to simplify the RBAC administration. Basically it provides the missing GUI to edit RBAC settings on Exchange 2010 systems; including adding/removing cmdlets, cmdlet properties, assignments etc. RBAC tool is written in C# and using Powershell behind the scenes

Tested on Windows 7, Windows 8 and Server 2008 R2 against Exchange Server 2010 SP2, Exchange Server 2013 Preview and Office 365

fixes the following issue during performing either 'New Role Assignment' or 'Set Management Role Assignment':

The term 'Sort-Object' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again.

Note that this is minor update for immediate fix of the issues listed above. A major one will follow this to fix all known issues

'remember password' feature now saves the password as encrypted as opposed to plain-text format in version 1.5.0.0
DPAPI is used to encrypt the saved password; for more information about DPAPI please check:
